We are in an unprecedented disaster that is affecting everyone in the world. SCBA DC-Baltimore chapter urges our members to work together, fighting not only for our own safety, but also for a better social and political environment for the Chinese American community. Back in the spring, we asked that everyone who had the extra resources can generously share masks and donate fund. We received overwhelming responses from our members.
We donated 390 N95/KN95 masks and more than 1500 surgical masks to the Holy Cross Hospital on April 14, 2000. We are happy that SCBA can help our front line medical staff at this critical moment.
On April 22, 2020, SCBA DC-Baltimore Chapter donated 2,000 masks to the Montgomery County Public Schools to support food-distributing and other public facing workers who work so hard at this challenging time to serve our community.
On October 25, 2020, SCBA DC-Baltimore Chapter announced the donation of $5,000 to Manna Food Center, which serves more than 50,000 people a year. The fund will help the center in the fight to end hunger in our area under the pandemic.
On November 19, 2020, SCBA DC-Baltimore Chapter donated $5,000 to the Suburban Hospital to help our frontline health workers combat COVID at these difficult times. They are the real heroes in the war against COVID.
